Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to welcome patients and collect accurate demographics across our system. You will handle patient questions, verify insurance, and process registrations in person, by phone, or electronically.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office; familiarity with EHR.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and explain the registration process.
• Process co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances.
• Complete the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjust coverage.
• Obtain signatures on consent forms and financial documents; scan and record documents.
• Counsel patients on non-covered services; obtain advance signatures.
• Maintain confidential patient information and secure desk.
