Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• 1-3 years related work experience.
• Strong typing skills, 40+ wpm; bilingual written and verbal skills preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; call center experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and explain the registration process; respond to patient questions.
• Process patient payments; safeguard cash; reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjust coverage.
• Obtain signatures on forms; scan and file documents.
• Counsel patients on non-covered services; ABNs and waivers.
• Monitor waiting area to ensure smooth registration flow; maintain patient experience.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure information.
• Support scheduling by prioritizing calls and messages.
• Coordinate with clinical departments on scheduling protocols.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and guarantor information.

Typing 40+ wpm
