Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years in related work; computer systems and MS Office experience.
• Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with accurate data processing.
• Preferred: Call center experience, bilingual skills, knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with EHR software.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and explain the registration process; collect required information.
• Process patient payments and balance due; safeguard cash and reconcile cash drawer.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjust coverage.
• Instruct patients on forms; obtain signatures and file documents.
• Counsel patients on non-covered services and ABNs; obtain signatures.
• Monitor waiting area for smooth flow and pleasant experience.
• Respond to patient concerns and safety issues; maintain confidentiality.
• Initiate scheduling by prioritizing multiple sources; reschedule/cancel as needed.
• Verify insurance coverage in real time; assign guarantor and insurance.
• Provide financial clearance status and refer to Financial Counseling when needed.
