Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years in healthcare administration or patient access.

• Familiar with EHR software and standard MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process; responds to questions.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safekeep cash.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage accordingly.
• Instructs patients on forms and signs/collects required documents; scans records.
• Counsels on non-covered services and ABNs; maintains patient confidentiality.
• Ensures smooth waiting area flow and resolves delays to improve experience.
• Scheduler: prioritizes and schedules using various sources; maintains protocol.
• Maintains accurate patient information for reimbursement and eligibility.
