Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our busy Registration and Scheduling teams in Massachusetts. You will collect demographic and insurance information, assist with co-pays, checks, and scheduling, and guide patients through their visit with courtesy and accuracy.

This role supports a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, uses EHR systems, maintains confidentiality, and aims for first-call resolution while ensuring correct billing and smooth patient

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years related work experience with computer systems.
• Skills: Fast-paced multi-task environment, accurate electronic data processing.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and explains the registration process; responds to questions.
• Processes payments and reconciles cash; assists with Kiosk check-in as needed.
• Verifies insurance, collects demographic info, and ensures proper reimbursement.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and obtains signatures on forms.
• Maintains confidentiality and a neat, organized registration area.
