Houston Methodist is seeking a Patient Access Center Representative to coordinate scheduling and registration across services. You will verify eligibility and benefits to ensure financial clearance prior to appointments and provide excellent customer service to patients.

The role requires effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff, and the ability to use multiple scheduling systems while maintaining HIPAA privacy and compliance.

Qualificações

• Three years healthcare setting/call center or customer service experience or completion of Houston Methodist Call Center Apprenticeship.
• Healthcare setting knowledge and terminology knowledge preferred.
• Strong English communication, both spoken and written, to support patient safety and service quality.
• Ability to navigate multiple software applications for scheduling and registration.

Responsabilidades

• Front door for patients: scheduling and registering multiple services.
• Balance scheduling resources with department needs and verify insurance eligibility.
• Triages calls and provides appointment information per protocol.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and privacy in all communications.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
