Job summary

Mercy Clinic HWY 102 seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact, handling scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance. You will explain financial responsibilities and assist patients with payment options while maintaining accurate data in the patient record.

Preferred candidates have 1–3 years clerical and customer service experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and a High School diploma (some college helpful).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years clerical experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, verify benefits, pre-certify and obtain financial clearance for patients.

• Document outcomes of financial conversations and ensure accurate patient data entry.
