Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional service aligned with Mercy standards. The role includes scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance.

The ideal candidate will manage patient data with high accuracy and maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, Medicare guidelines, and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work with patients, physicians, staff and insurers.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate patient entrance into Mercy facilities including scheduling and registration.
• Verify benefits, perform pre-certification and financial clearance.
• Ensure accurate patient data entry and maintenance of records.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and hospital staff.
