Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative who serves as the first point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional customer service in line with Mercy's mission and Service Standards.

You will coordinate scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance, ensuring accurate data entry and timely coordination with insurance carriers and hospital staff to support smooth admissions and patient flow.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years clerical experience and customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High School diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate all components of the patient’s entrance into Mercy facilities, including scheduling, registration, and pre-certification.
• Verify benefits, obtain pre-visit financial clearance, and collect payments as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient data in the systems and collaborate with insurance carriers and hospital staff.
