Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a Patient Access Representative to deliver exceptional service as the first contact for patients. You will greet patients, verify demographics, and handle registrations and scheduling.

Responsibilities include using a multi-line phone system, coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations, collecting co-pays, and maintaining accurate patient records while supporting Telemed and access to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience in a medical office setting preferred; medical terminology helpful; customer service essential.
• Six months of customer service experience desired.
• May require BLS for certain locations/settings.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, verify demographics, and collect signatures.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with providers.
• Handle multi-line phone operations and coordination of referrals.
• Assist with pre-authorizations, reminders, and recall management.
• Prepare and organize charts and provider documents.
• Support telemedicine appointments and patient financial assistance.
