Job summary

Sanford Health’s Southpointe Clinic in Fargo, ND seeks a Patient Access Representative to provide exceptional customer service at the first point of contact, handling registration and scheduling tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include greeting and verifying demographics, processing documents, collecting payments, coordinating referrals and appointments, and supporting telemedicine and chart preparation to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary education helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan and route documents or electronic forms.
• Inform patients what the document is and capture signatures.
• Establish financial responsibility and assist with arrangements per policies.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• May work through the registration queue to address and resolve registration errors or denied claims.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments with nursing team and providers.
• Obtain referrals and conduct pre-authorization; arrange interpreter services.
• Check patients in/out; operate multi-line phone; manage recalls and waitlists; switchboard duties.
• Coordinate charts, patient documents and telemedicine appointments; assist with reminders and administrative tasks.
