St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Per Diem, Day shift Patient Access Representative located in Allentown, PA. The role covers the full registration process for outpatient and ED patients, including demographics, insurance verification, and upfront data entry.

The position requires at least a high school diploma, with healthcare-related coursework or certification preferred. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are essential, with Epic experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly.
• Knowledge of health information systems (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients (pre-reg and post-reg) including demographics, contact information, and insurance verification.
• Transcribe orders, enter diagnosis and provider information, and verify eligibility.
• Coordinate with clinical/diagnostic departments to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate data.
• Handle point-of-service cash collections and insurance-related tasks.
• Greet patients and visitors and provide courteous service; assist with MyChart and patient self-service tools.
