Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an OP Patient Access Representative for evening, part-time shifts (20 hours/week) at Center Valley. The role handles patient registration for outpatient and emergency services, verifies insurance, and coordinates with departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate offers excellent customer service, strong computer skills, and knowledge of Epic or similar health information systems. Insurance terminology familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate/degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer skills and fast, accurate typing.
• Insurance background preferred; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Epic health information system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for outpatient and ED visits, including demographics and insurance verification.
• Transcribe orders and enter diagnoses and provider information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect at point of service.
• Coordinate with SLPG practices and revenue cycle departments to ensure smooth patient experience and accurate billing.
• Greet and direct patients and visitors; promote MyChart and patient self-service capabilities.
• Assist patients with Welcome Kiosk and On My Way technology to streamline arrival and journey.
