Qualifications

• High school diploma required; healthcare-related education preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• General computer skills, accurate fast typing.
• Insurance background preferred and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with health information systems (Epic) preferred.
• Previous medical administrative experience or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate patients in hospital information system to ensure EMR accuracy.
• Coordinate with SLPG practices and departments to ensure excellent patient experience.
• Handle patient registration, including demographics, insurance verification, and cash collection.
• Assist with Welcome Kiosk and MyChart activation and patient journey.
• Obtain required insurance referrals and pre-authorizations to decrease denials.
• Travel between campuses as needed.
