Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Access Services Representative 2 for a part-time weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM). The role focuses on collecting demographics and insurance information, verifying benefits, and guiding patients through the registration process.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience, strong listening and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency required.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
• Maintain professionalism in stressful environments, including trauma and sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Collects demographics and insurance information for patient registration and billing.
• Verifies insurance benefits and calculates patient liabilities.
• Mentors or trains peers and cross-trains in multiple areas as needed.
• Assist patients to nursing units and provide directions or mobility assistance.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling, government payor, and patient identification policies.
• Perform revenue cycle duties across various areas/locations as assigned.
