Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Access Services Representative I to collect demographics and insurance information to register patients and verify benefits. The role supports multiple locations, assists with billing, and helps collect patient financial responsibilities.

The position requires strong listening and communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and customer service with a focus on accuracy. Shift is M-F, 4:30a–1p, in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Professional telephone etiquette and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine patient financial responsibility.
• Assist in billing and precertification tasks as needed.
• Manage patient deposits and establish payment arrangements when applicable.
• Provide directions and assistance to patients within the facility.
• Escalate issues to management when needed.
