The position requires at least one year in customer service, preference for medical office experience and Epic EHR familiarity, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a customer service role.
• Medical office experience is a plus.
• Epic EHR experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Place, receive and route a high volume of calls through the switchboard.
• Greet callers in a compassionate, congenial and professional manner.
• Assist patients and families, answering questions and providing accurate information.
• Relay messages or transfer calls to appropriate staff.
• Schedule appointments according to provider protocols.
• Update patient insurance and demographic information.
• Maintain knowledge of physicians, locations and services.
