Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Patient Access & Care Team associate to connect patients with the right care. This full-time position requires handling inbound calls, scheduling, verifying demographics and insurance, and providing service excellence across multiple systems.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday through Friday, with a 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift. Pay ranges from $21.85 to $32.80 per hour, reflecting experience and department needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer service and ability to work with a variety of patients and patient situations.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful but not required.
• Basic understanding of computers and desktop software packages.

Responsibilities

• Link patient experience between PACT and the practice site.
• Assist inbound callers and make outbound follow-up calls as needed.
• Perform basic technical troubleshooting for online applications and access.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate cancellations, reschedules, and additions.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information; update as needed.
• Document interactions in the medical records and systems.
