Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Medicare, HIPAA, and EMTALA rules is important.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and manages patient flow efficiently.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Completes registration for walk-in patients and updates data as needed.
• Verifies insurance benefits and collects patient liability.
• Follows Financial Clearance policy when needed.
• Identifies patients needing financial assistance and refers to Financial Counselor.
• Performs visit closure and schedules follow-ups.
• Maintains knowledge of payer requirements and pre-certification needs.
• Communicates issues to management for process improvement.
• Meets productivity and accuracy targets.
• Maintains professional relations with patients and staff.
