Job summary

Atrium Health in Winston-Salem is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our onsite team. This full-time role supports patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance with a focus on compassionate service.

Hours are 40 per week, with a 40-hour schedule Monday through Friday and occasional weekend rotation. Pay ranges from $20.80 to $31.20 per hour, with benefits eligibility and opportunities for growth within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient access, scheduling, registration and financial clearance preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain insurance responsibilities and financial clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage patient flow for efficient service.
• Complete registration and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Verify benefits and collect patient liabilities and balances.
• Inform patients of estimated liability and refer to Financial Counseling as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of payer requirements and applicable policies.
• Support checkout process and arrange follow-up appointments.
