Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience; computer systems experience including web-based applications and MS Office.
• Fast-paced, multi-task environment with the ability to make independent decisions.
• Strong typing skills 40+wpm; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Bilingual written and verbal communication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles and balances due; safeguards cash and reconciles drawer.
• Schedules, reschedules, and cancels patient appointments across multiple channels.
• Verifies patient insurance and eligibility; assigns guarantors and handles pre-visit financial clearance.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of patient information and supports a welcoming patient experience.
