Job summary

UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking a Registration Services professional to accurately register patients, verify insurance, and schedule services in a fast-paced medical environment. This on-site role requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills to support patients and the revenue cycle.

The position supports holidays and weekend rotation with a standard day shift. A high school diploma is required, with an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred and healthcare exposure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience with data entry and accurate record-keeping.
• Proficiency with Windows and basic computer skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and enter demographic and insurance data.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with pre-authorization steps.
• Schedule radiology, lab, and ancillary services.
• Collect patient liabilities before or at the time of service.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with clerical tasks as needed.
• Assist with patient flow and communications in a busy environment.
