Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a detail‑oriented Patient Access Associate at the Marlborough Campus to register patients, verify insurance, and coordinate scheduling. You will handle demographic data, collect payments, and support billing workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have strong data entry skills, good customer service, and knowledge of medical terminology. This is a full‑time role requiring proficiency with Windows and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtain and enter demographic, insurance, and related patient information into the scheduling system.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure pre-authorization and referrals.
• Obtain workman’s compensation and auto coverage when required.
• Schedule radiology, lab, and ancillary service appointments.
• Maintain accurate records and support billing and revenue cycle workflows.
