Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage patient intake in our clinic. You will greet patients, check in/out, collect data and payments, validate insurance, schedule appointments, and process referrals and authorizations.

You will interact with patients in person and by phone, using knowledge of billing, insurance and medical terminology to ensure a smooth, high-quality intake experience and accurate data capture.

Qualifikationen

• One year of customer service work experience.
• Healthcare or Call Center experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Registers and/or checks patients in/out.
• Performs patient check-in at time of visit; records and verifies demographics and insurance; follows procedures to ensure registration guidelines are satisfied and guardians notified for minors; escalates non-complex issues.
• Conducts routine insurance eligibility verifications.
• Copies/scans patient access related materials into the EMR.
• Records non-clinical charges from various sources.
• Handles and reconciles payments.
