Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background in healthcare settings.
• Proficient in all types of patient registrations (inpatient, outpatient, ER).
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
• Ability to pre-register patients and verify insurance.
• Accurate input of demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Understanding CMS medical necessity verification and coverage communication.
• Ensures completeness of electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong attention to confidentiality and data security.

Responsibilities

• Handle front-office and back-office tasks for patient access.
• Register patients and manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Monitor hospital/ambulatory patient movement.
• Utilize EPIC work queues to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verify insurance coverage and medical necessity per CMS standards.
• Enter accurate patient demographics and financial data.
• Maintain completeness and accuracy of the health record (EHR).
