Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a Registrar for Patient Access to gather and enter patient demographics into the hospital information system and verify insurance details. You will collect co-pays and deposits, obtain signatures, and assist with scheduling and documentation.

The role requires completing 3 weeks of dayshift orientation, a minimum of 4 shifts per month including weekends and holidays, and a High School diploma. Epic experience is highly preferred and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic typing and computer skills required.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Obtains signatures on required documents for consent and regulatory paperwork.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposits from patients and resolves billing issues with relevant teams.
• Identifies referrals and payment options for patients needing financial assistance.
• Provides office support such as phones, scheduling, typing, and filing.
