Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Registrar for Mount Holly to gather and enter patient demographic information, verify benefits, and obtain authorizations. You will collect co-pays and deposits, ensuring accurate registrations in the hospital information system.

You will act as the first point of contact for Virtua, delivering excellent customer service while handling insurance verification and documentation. Epic experience is preferred and some weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Must have basic typing and computer/word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient insurance cards and demographic data into the hospital system.
• Verifies benefits and obtains required authorizations.
• Collects co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposits from patients and resolves billing issues with departments.
• Provides appropriate referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Supports office operations including scheduling and filing.
