Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Registrar to gather and enter patient demographic information, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and collect co-pays and deposits. You will be the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service across our facilities in South Jersey.

The role requires 1 year of customer service experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with Epic is a plus. On-site schedule includes 1st shift with varied hours and orientation.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into the hospital information system.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorization and collect co-pays, deductibles, and deposits.
• Process signatures on required documents and complete paperwork.
• Provide referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Offer general office support including scheduling, telephones, and filing.
