Responsibilities

• Greets and accurately registers patients in EMR system, verifies billing and demographic information.
• Coordinates scheduling of patient appointments (phone and in-person requests).
• Answers multiple incoming lines, routes calls to the correct recipients.
• Distributes communications (pagers, faxes, emails) per protocol.
• Resolves patient questions on referrals, billing, and test results; escalates as needed.
• Schedules tests and admissions coordination with hospital sections when needed.
• Notifies patient care area when patient is ready; assists with waiting area management.
• Verifies insurance type and checks eligibility if necessary.
• Performs other related duties as required.
