Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write in English is required.
• Two years of customer service or receptionist experience.
• Typing speed of 30 words per minute.
• Experience answering phones and routing messages.
• Experience with EMR systems (GE Centricity, EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and collect demographics for entry into the EMR.
• Distribute necessary patient information confidentially.
• Schedule tests and follow-up appointments; monitor provider schedules.
• Answer phones and document communications in the EMR.
• Order inventory and coordinate with ancillary/clinical departments as needed.
• Manage referrals and obtain prior authorizations from insurers.
