Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Inc. seeks a Patient Access Team Representative to interview patients, collect demographics, and input data into the EMR system.

You will distribute confidential information, schedule tests and follow-ups, and coordinate with clinical departments as needed. The role requires two years of customer service experience, strong English literacy, and proficiency with front-desk tasks, phone handling, and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Ability to read, write in English is required.
• Associates Degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.
• Minimum of two years customer service experience or receptionist work experience required.
• Ability to accurately type 30 words per minute required.
• Experience with answering phones, taking and routing messages.
• Experience successfully using Group Management, GE Centricity EMR, EPaces, Soarian Scheduling, and EPIC preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interview and collect patient demographics and record into EMR.
• Distribute required patient information confidentially and schedule tests and follow-up appointments.
• Monitor provider schedules, answer phones, and document in the EMR.
• Order inventory and communicate with ancillary and clinical departments as needed.
• Manage referrals to specialty practices and obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies.
• Maintain up-to-date patient insurance information as verified.
