NorthBay Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative II to handle reception, registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling in the Ambulatory Division. The role requires integrity, patient empathy and accurate data entry in the EMR system.

Ideal candidates have two years of front-office or customer-facing healthcare experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask across registration, charge entry, and records management while upholding HIPAA

Qualifications

• Two years of customer engagement experience or a service-centered role.
• Healthcare environment experience with registration, scheduling, referrals preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and HIPAA/PHI awareness.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in the EMR and verify demographic and insurance data.
• Verify eligibility, determine copayments and financial responsibilities.
• Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals and manage calendars.
• Collect payments and reconcile at shift end.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA/PHI guidelines.
• Assist in medical records handling and front-office tasks as needed.
