Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Patient Access Ambassador II to accurately admit, register, and perform financial analysis for arriving patients. You will collect deposits, explain financial obligations, and coordinate with care teams to avoid delays in care.

You will engage patients with empathy, explain coverage details (Medi-Cal/Medicare/Managed Care), and uphold confidentiality while guiding them through the registration process in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of customer engagement experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in differentiating insurance types: Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, Indemnity and Workers Compensation.

Responsibilities

• Admits and registers patients accurately and timely.
• Performs financial analysis activities for patients upon arrival.
• Collects deposits, co-pays, deductibles, and share of cost; explains financial obligations clearly.
