Family Medical and Counseling Service is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our team. The role involves handling a high volume of calls, scheduling appointments, and guiding clients through scheduling protocols and clinic procedures.

You will greet clients, assist with lobby check-in, and perform general clerical duties while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. A patient-centered approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronic Medical Record experience; eCW is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Minimum of one year experience in an office setting, preferably medical office.

Responsabilités

• Answer a high volume of calls and schedule appointments.
• Instruct and assist clients with scheduling protocols and clinic procedures.
• Greet clients in the lobby and assist with kiosk check-in.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive information.
• Perform general clerical tasks: scanning, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing registrations.
• Direct calls to appropriate site, staff, or leadership and escalate as needed.
