Job summary

Allina Health Woodbury Clinic is seeking a Clinic Patient Access Representative to support scheduling and patient billing inquiries. The role acts as a frontline resource, coordinating appointments, managing patient records and assisting with insurance details.

The position operates 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with 40 hours per week and no weekend shifts, and may float to different floors as needed to meet staffing. This is a 1.0 FTE daytime role within Allina Health.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with education and/or experience to meet required functional competencies.
• 0–2 years of experience in a Clinic Office Specialist role.
• 2–5 years of experience as a medical receptionist or customer service position.
• 2–5 years of basic medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduling support and coordinate appointments for services in or outside the system.
• Serve as a liaison for patients, families, providers and staff on billing and service questions.
• Process incoming calls and correspondence regarding billing issues and service questions.
• Provide first resolution regarding patient complaints and direct calls to the appropriate department.
• Assist with patient account adjustments, such as updating demographics and insurance information.
• May complete prior authorizations, referrals, complex scheduling and manage work queues.
• Other duties as assigned.
