Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating with departments, performing pre-authorization tasks, and guiding patients through registration with attention to data integrity and patient experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years customer service or medical office experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Consistently practices Patients First philosophy and adheres to high standards of customer service.
• Responds to questions and concerns.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Interacts with hospital departments to schedule and direct patients through NMHC systems.
• Reaches out to patients to schedule an appointment as defined.
• Performs medical necessity checks for scheduled services and communicates options if an appointment fails.
• Completes other duties as assigned by manager.
• Cross-training between departments to ensure coverage.
