Job summary

Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons, LLC is seeking an organized medical office clerk to support daily operations in our clinic. The role involves pre-scheduling preparation, accurate patient data handling, insurance verification, and coordinating with departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates will have HIPAA knowledge, at least a high school education, and experience with PM/EHR systems. This is an on-site position focusing on patient check-in, referrals, and administrative support

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules.

• Familiarity with PM and EHR computer systems
• Insurance Verification
• Medical Office experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare clinics in advance for upcoming physician schedules.
• Check for errors in scheduling on your clinic schedule.
• Import patient medical information from the patient portal and pharmacies when available.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and determine the correct co-pay amount to collect.
• Obtain and verify patient information during check-in.
• Coordinate physical therapy scheduling.
