Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Medical Scheduler to handle calls from patients, providers and clinical teams. You will gather demographics, insurance details and scheduling info, then route to care teams via the EMR system, while maintaining confidentiality and service quality.

This role emphasizes warm, efficient interaction, adherence to scheduling protocols and collaboration with practice staff across expanded hours to support Access Center operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years of work experience in a similar patient scheduling role and/or provider practice preferred
• Customer service experience, preferable in a call center environment
• Knowledge of managed care policies and insurance requirements preferred

Responsibilities

• Scheduling responsibilities: Obtains complete and accurate clinical, demographic and financial information during the scheduling process.
• Pre-registration responsibilities: Completes the pre-registration and insurance verification and communicates financial responsibility during patient calls.
• Clerical/customer service responsibilities: Performs clerical duties and maintains customer service according to Pre-Arrival department guidelines.
• Follow all HIPAA & OSHA standards
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
