Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Representative to handle inbound and outbound calls, schedule appointments, and assist patients with inquiries about services and billing.

This role supports a standard of patient care related to vision and related health services. The candidate will gather information to triage patient needs, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the front desk team to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be organized and a team player.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and goal driven.

Responsibilities

• Addresses patient inquiries about appointment scheduling, services, insurance coverage and payment methods.
• Gathers information to determine priority of need and proper place of treatment.
• Participates in recalls of patients who have been inactive per policy.
• Works with supervisor to meet scheduling and patient-satisfaction goals.
• Counsels patients and answers questions related to procedures and/or billing when needed.
