Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Representative for the Powhatan Medical Associates. You will handle patient registrations, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, collect payments, and support referrals and authorization processes.

This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and accurate data entry. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and healthcare registration experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and the community with respectful, professional service.
• Schedule patients and enter information for scheduling into the computer.
• Process patient registrations and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Collects and reconciles cash from patient payments and maintains cash drawer.
• Assist with referrals/authorizations and scheduling follow-ups as needed.
• May cover other physician practice locations as required.
