Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for the Powhatan Medical Associates practice. You will be the first point of contact, handling patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and accurate medical record updates.

You will provide courteous service, explain financial options, collect payments, and support referrals and MyChart access as needed. Prior registration/healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and the physician practice.
• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and enter scheduling information accurately.
• Verify demographics and insurance information and collect patient payments as needed.
• Explain financial options and assist with referrals and MyChart access as necessary.
• May cover other physician practice locations to maintain patient flow.
