Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years related work experience required.
  • Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual written and verbal communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answers, screens and processes a high volume of calls professionally.
  • Uses scripts and triage guidelines to determine appointment type and urgency.
  • Schedules visits using centralized systems and updates patient demographics.
  • Obtains referrals and documents payer information, including workers’ compensation.
  • Informs patients about visit preparation and required documents.
  • Coordinates data for scheduling office visits, tests and procedures.
  • Triages urgent information and responds to provider emails promptly.
  • Resolves scheduling problems with staff and management as needed.
