Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a premier Missouri medical center, seeks a Clinic Services Rep to support specialty clinic patients. You will greet visitors, answer calls, and schedule or reschedule appointments to keep clinics running smoothly.

Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours weekly), you will provide outstanding customer service, coordinate with billing and care teams, and help patients access resources as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient referral procedure by management of work queues, in baskets and faxes, as well as initiates the pre-authorization process.
• Provides clerical support including, but not limited to, scanning documents, preparing charts, managing e-correspondence and general inquiries.
• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments with the department and other areas (radiology, procedure area, other testing) at the time of check out.
• Effectively interacts and communicates with patients and families to assist them and direct them to access available resources such as financial assistance, social work, and more.
