The role forms part of Capital Health Medical Group’s patient access team.

Qualifications

• One year experience as receptionist or clerk in healthcare environment or one year customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones promptly and courteously, routing calls to the appropriate area or person.
• Schedule and cancel appointments and arrange outpatient tests and surgeries.
• Perform registration to ensure demographic and insurance information is accurate.
• Collect co-pays and balances at check-in and time of service at check-out.
