Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year as receptionist or clerk in healthcare or one year customer service.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Medical office certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones promptly and courteously across multiple lines.
• Route calls to appropriate area or individual efficiently.
• Schedule and cancel appointments per guidelines.
• Register patients and collect co payments and balances.
• Prepare charts, insurance info, and patient paperwork.
• Greet patients and visitors professionally and inform on privacy.
• Verify benefits, eligibility, and authorization details as needed.
• Maintain records in system and perform daily closing tasks.
