Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Financial Access Specialist to support complex scheduling across outpatient service areas. You will identify patients, collect demographic and financial information, and coordinate with physicians and clinics to ensure accurate appointments and timely processing of visits.

Qualifications

• Two to three years in a customer service role within a hospital or physician office.
• Experience with registration, scheduling and medical insurance eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patient Throughput: collect required information for third party payers to ensure reimbursement.
• Insurance: enter and verify patient eligibility and benefits; document in system.
• Complex Appointment Scheduling: schedule multi-step appointments using Epic.
• Quality Assurance: support other outpatient departments as needed and maintain skills.
• Customer Service: deliver service excellence per system standards.
• Template Management: maintain scheduling templates for multiple locations and disciplines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
