Carle Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to register new and existing patients, check them in for appointments, and collect co-pays at the Illinois location. The role involves processing forms, obtaining signatures, and managing patient records with a strong focus on customer service.

The incumbent will handle incoming calls, assist with inquiries, and adhere to Carle policies while supporting a positive patient experience across Carle Health facilities.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently completes registration for new and existing patients.
• Checks patients in upon their arrival for scheduled appointments.
• Accurately explains and completes registration and admitting forms.
• Obtains signatures from patients and policyholders.
• Explains and gets patient signatures for Consents, Assignment of Benefits, ABN's and Notice of Non Coverage forms.
• Performs tasks related to cash drawer management including co-pay collections.
• Requests, locates, sends and receives patient medical records as needed.
• Understands computer applications common to the desk areas.
• Receives all incoming telephone calls.
• Checks patients out in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates customer service excellence in accordance to Carle policy.
• Adheres to and enforces Carle policies and procedures.
• Attends meetings to enhance knowledge.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to and enforces Carle Foundation Administrative and Departmental policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in all aspects of the Patient Services Representative role.
• Suggests ways to improve processes.
