Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative to manage registration, insurance verification and scheduling for new and existing patients. You will greet and guide patients, collect co-pays, and direct them to appropriate providers and services.

You will handle check-in, obtain signatures for forms, and support requests for medical records. Excellent customer service and accurate data entry are essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently completes registration for new and existing patients.
• Checks patients in upon arrival for scheduled appointments.
• Explains and completes registration and admitting forms; obtains signatures.
• Handles cash drawer management including co-pay collections.
• Requests, locates, sends and receives patient medical records as needed.
• Understands computer applications common to the desk areas.
• Receives all incoming telephone calls.
• Checks patients out in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates customer service excellence in accordance to Carle policy.
• Attends meetings to enhance knowledge.
• Performs all other duties as assigned. Adheres to Carle policies.
• Suggests ways to improve processes.
