Job summary

Qualifications

• Two to three years' work experience in a customer service environment, preferably in hospital/physician office with emphasis on registration, scheduling and insurance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; ability to educate and advocate for patients and families.
• Excellent written and oral communication aligned with professional behavior standards.

Responsibilities

• Patient throughput: obtain information for third party payers to ensure reimbursement.
• Accurately schedule follow-up physician appointments in scheduling system.
• Insurance: enter data, verify eligibility, determine benefits, document per policy.
• Coordinate complex and time-sensitive appointment scheduling in Epic.
• Provide QA and cross-department support to maintain scheduling accuracy.
• Deliver excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Maintain Epic templates with clinical staff and assist training.
