Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Financial Access Specialist – Clinical Scheduling to coordinate surgical and outpatient scheduling across multiple departments. You will act as the liaison between referring physicians, patients, and care teams, ensuring accurate information flow and timely appointment planning.

The role requires 2–3 years in a hospital or physician office customer-service setting, strong multitasking and communication skills, and proficiency with Epic scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of customer service in a hospital/physician office with high call volumes.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Epic and scheduling-related software.

Responsibilities

• Throughput optimization: gather needed information from referring physicians and patients.
• Coordinate complex scheduling across departments and locations, including surgeries.
• Provide CPT codes and scheduling documentation for procedures.
• Maintain and update patient demographics and scheduling data in Epic and related systems.
• Deliver high-quality customer service in line with organizational standards.
